(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) New Delhi: A public interest litigation filed in the Supreme Court has demanded equal rights of divorce for all citizens of the country in accordance with the spirit of the Constitution and international agreements. The petition has been filed by BJP leader and advocate Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay. In this, he has demanded the Center to take steps to remove the discrepancies in the laws of divorce and to make equal laws for all citizens without prejudice on the basis of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth.
