Saloni Subha (Intern Journalist) Prayagraj: The Allahabad high court has rejected a PIL asking for a judicial investigation into the Hathras gang rape case. The court claimed that it doesn’t want to add litigation because another litigation regarding the case is pending before the High Court’s Lucknow Bench.
A division bench comprising of chief justice Govind Mathur and justice Piyush Agarwal was hearing the PIL filed by Babita Upadhyay.
The petitioner is looking for directions to the state government and concerned authorities not to put constraints on media or the public who wants to meet the victim’s family
