(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) Uttar Pradesh; A petition was filed in the Supreme Court by Archana Dwivedi, wife of late Mukul Dwivedi, former SP of Mathura, demanding the court for directing the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to held its investigation on the Jawahar Bagh violence case with the duration of two months.
Mukul Dwivedi was killed in the violence among the 30 people.
The Allahabad High Court on March 2, 2017, had directed the CBI to have two teams and complete the investigation on a duration of two months. But 40 months have been passed and yet no interrogation was held for the powerful politician and top officers of the state.
Ram Briksh Yadav who wrongfully occupied Jawahar Bagh, which was a government property situated in the center of Mathura city. He is associated with Criminal doing for more than two years, but no effort has made to vacate it, because of the protection he received from the ruling party. Due to the powerful Nexus, the state authorities have ignored the high court order to vacate the park. The authorities held the action in 2016 after a contempt application was filed to receive the park.
On June 2, 2016, the DM and SSP Mathura suddenly ordered the petitioner’s husband, late Mukul Dwivedi the then SP of the city to go with a few cops and without firearms to break the wall and assess the reaction. It resulted in violence where the petitioner husband Mukul Dwivedi, SHO Farah SH. Santosh Yadav was killed brutally and others got injured.
No action was taken against the DM and SSP Mathura who knowingly sent the cops for vacating the park without armed cops.
Ram Briksh Yadav who has linked with political and bureaucratic, there lies fewer chances of a fair and a complete investigation. The petitioner’s husband had a lot of pressure given by political-cult nexus and higher authorities.
The petitioner’s husband during the operation he received the order with mysterious circumstances and the recruited policemen were newly recruited and were provided lathis. They have also received the order to not use firearms for which they went for the operation without their service revolver.
Therefore the petitioner demanded CBI to hold a team with enough officers and investigate within two months.
