(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist); Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the high-tech labs to be started at the National Cancer Prevention and Research Institute (NICPR), Mumbai, and Kolkata, located in Sector-39, Noida, near Delhi, through video conferencing. UP CM Yogi Adityanath, West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee, and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray were also involved in the program through video conferencing.
Addressing the program, PM Modi said that crores of citizens of the country are fighting the global epidemic very bravely. The Hi-tech State of the Art testing facility launched today will give West Bengal, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh more strength in the fight against Corona.
PM Modi said that Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Kolkata are major centers of economic activity. Here millions of youth of the country come to fulfill their careers and their dreams. Now the available capacity of the test in these three places is going to add to the capacity of 10 thousand tests. Addressing the program, PM Modi said that in January where we had only one center for the test of Corona, today around 1300 labs are working in the whole country.
PM appealed to the people of the country and said that we have to avoid corona ourselves and also save all the families of younger age in the house. The fight against Corona, we will all fight together and win. The PM said that the country’s scientists are working fast for the Corona vaccine. But until an effective drug or vaccine is made, keep a mask, a distance of 2 meters and hands from time to time. The PM said that many festivals are going to come. May these festivals become a cause of happiness for the people. We need to be careful to not spread the infection to people. We will also have to keep in mind that poor families do not have problems during this time of celebration.
