(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the Centenary Year celebrations of Lucknow University on Wednesday.
He will be involved through video conferencing at 5:30 pm. On this occasion, the Prime Minister will issue a commemorative coin on the completion of 100 years of the establishment of the university. On this occasion, he will also issue a special commemorative postage stamp and special cover issued by the Indian Postal Department. The Defense Minister, the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, and the Chief Minister will also be present on the occasion.

A coin of 100 rupees will be issued in the name of Lucknow University. The special thing is that Lucknow University will be the third university after the University of Mysore and Banaras Hindu University to commemorate 100 years of commemorative coinage. This coin has been minted in the Government Mint in Mumbai, it will be an asset in the treasury of Lucknow University.
Silver, bronze, copper, and nickel have been used in coin casting.

University spokesperson Dr. Durgesh Srivastava said that according to Bikaner’s noted emperor Sudhir Lunavat, it will be a non-circulating coin and will have the Lucknow University Centenary Celebration engraved in English and Hindi along with the year 1920-2020 and the center will carry the university logo.
