(Riya Singh, Intern Journalist) Patna: The second phase of the ongoing Bihar Assembly Elections is about to take place on 3rd November 2020 in the capital itself. So, take some time out of your busy schedule and do read this article till the end. At this time, you will be listening to the breathtaking speeches of all the leaders on the road, on TV, in newspapers, all the time. You might come across broken roads being constructed in your area in the name of development but do not get confused.
The below-mentioned paragraphs are written without the intention of changing someone else’s views. These are just facts that one should consider before going to the booth.
We do not want that reign to return to power when,
- People were so scared that they started using Yadav as their surname.
- Cases of kidnapping were reported from across the state every single day. The total number of reported kidnapping cases was 32,085 from 1992-2004.
- People were scared to leave their homes after sunset as they were afraid of either getting kidnapped or murdered. The number of murders during 2001-2005 is 18,189.
- Crimes like dacoity, rape, burglary, bank robbery, riots, etc. were part of the daily agenda of criminals.
All I want to say is that Tejashwi Yadav, son of Lalu Prasad Yadav, might seem to be promising right now, but we can never rely on him for the reign that his father brought to the state. He might turn out to bring back what we feared the most.
Moving towards the other candidate “Sushasan Babu”.
- The government which came to power in 2005, in the name of removing Jungle-raj and all he could do was build roads and fixed a little law and order.
- Try to remember what did the “Kursi Kumar” did for education and health which are the most basic needs.
- The sad picture of the capital’s two largest government hospitals, PMCH and NMCH, which was revealed during the Covid-19 pandemic.
But who would want their Chief Minister to be NDA and Lalu Ji’s partner and a chair lover? Even after all this, we have electricity in every house and a better road. All other developments that the state has seen, we owe it to him.
Getting ahead to Chirag Paswan, son of Late Ram Vilas Paswan, leader of Lok Janshakti Party, and Pushpam Priya Choudhary, leader of Plurals Party, who seem to be promising as they are new to politics. We have already seen and heard how Tejashwi Yadav or Nitish Kumar’s idea of development is. But we should start giving an opportunity to the newcomers as well.
So, this time, let us forget the caste chase and give the highest priority to the development of the state. Do your part by voting for the right candidate and in favor of a better Bihar.
