(Rishitha Jaladi, Intern Journalist) USA: The cop who was shot dead on Monday in Bothell, Washington, was identified as Jonathan Shoop. Shoop was in the Bothell police department for one year and ere that he worked as the US coastGuard, said the Police department via its official Twitter account.
The accused in the case was taken into custody after he was caught hiding on the roof at the incident spot. According to the Bothell police department, Two officers were shot on Monday, while, attempting to stop heavy traffic. The accused fled from the spot after striking a man on a scooter and crashing his vehicle. There were rounds of Gun fires in the sky.
The struck man on the scooter was soon admitted to the hospital and his condition is still critical. While one of the cops, Jonathan died on the spot and one injured. The Injured cop was admitted to the police and was discharged on Tuesday. Bothell is about 16 miles northeast of Seattle.
