(Pooja Dubey, Intern Journalist) In the country, two indigenous Covid vaccines have been approved for emergency use with some conditions on Sunday. Since then, politics has started regarding the Corona vaccine. On the one hand, senior leaders of the Congress and Samajwadi Party have questioned the approval of the vaccine, to which the BJP has reacted strongly. BJP has termed the attitude of Congress and SP as an insult to the scientists of the country.
Congress leaders Shashi Tharoor and Ramesh Jairam Ramesh have also tweeted after the Controller General of Pharmaceuticals of India (DCGI) approved the limited emergency use of vaccines ‘Covishield’ and Bharat Biotech’s ‘Covaxine’ from Oxford. Congress leaders have sought answers from Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan raising questions about the emergency use of the vaccine.
Congress leader Shashi Tharoor tweeted, “Covaxin has not been tested for Phase III yet. Approval is received prematurely and can be dangerous. Dr. Harsh Vardhan should clarify. Its use should have been avoided until the full trial was over. During this time India can start the campaign with the AstraZeneca vaccine. ”
The BJP has reacted strongly to the politics about the vaccine. BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain said that the way Samajwadi Party people are speaking is very unfortunate. Akhilesh Yadav should apologize to the country. It is being said that the vaccine will make it impotent. The country will not forgive the SP on this.
