The government has till 22 September to call the session. Various possibilities are being explored for this. Now the standing committee meetings of Parliament have been started.
Normally, the monsoon session of Parliament is called in the last week of July, but this time everything has changed with the coronavirus. All the possibilities are being explored for the past 2 months to talk about the session and in the meantime, other possibilities are being explored. The meeting of the standing committees of Parliament has been started, their review will explore the possibilities of the session.
There may be a gap of 6 months between the two sessions of Parliament, hence the monsoon session can be forgotten at any time in September. The chairman and General Secretary of both the Houses have held several rounds of meetings regarding the session. It envisages situations ranging from virtual meetings to sessions without audience galleries.
