(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Kolkata: Police have denied any conspiracy in the case of the death of Bengali actress Arya Banerjee, who has worked in Hindi films like ‘The Dirty Picture’ and ‘Love Sex and Cheat’. A senior Kolkata Police official said on Saturday that Arya, the daughter of noted sitter Nikhil Bandyopadhyay, was found dead at her residence under mysterious circumstances on Friday and a post-mortem report revealed her drinking a large quantity of alcohol.
He said that the doctors have ruled out any possibility of his murder. The police officer said that it is possible that the actress had a heart attack on Friday morning and after that, she woke up to ask for help but fell down. He said that during the post-mortem examination it was also told that the blood found near his body may be shed primarily due to his fall. He said that about two liters of alcohol were found in his stomach.
She fell on her face, causing injury to her and shedding blood from her body. Police found several bottles of liquor and blood stained tissue papers from his house. The investigation report revealed that the 33-year-old actress was ill and suffering from various ailments including heart problems.
When her domestic help rang the bell on Friday morning, she received no response.
He suspected it and informed the neighbors about it. The neighbors then informed the police. Police officers broke the door of the apartment on the third floor and found the actress lying dead in the bedroom. The domestic help said that Banerjee lived alone and did not interact more than anyone.
