(Milcah Anila, Intern Journalist) Hyderabad: The Telangana government has postponed a decision on the reopening of schools, coaching centers, cinema theaters, multiplexes, and entertainment parks. It is learned that the Union Home Ministry had on October 30 issued ‘Unlock-5’ orders leaving the issue of opening schools and coaching centers to the state governments and allowing cinema theaters and multiplexes to open at 50 percent capacity from October 15.
Based on this, Chief Secretary to Government Somesh Kumar on Wednesday issued guidelines announcing guidelines for the implementation of Unlock-5 in the state. It said special orders would be issued announcing dates for the reopening of schools and cinema theaters in the state.

All activities that were allowed before the lockdown will no longer be allowed outside the Containment Zones. However, the following programs are permitted subject to the Standards (SOP) issued by the Government from time to time.Online/distance education should be given priority and promoted in colleges/institutions of higher learning. Higher education institutions will only be allowed to open labs from October 15 for PG students in Ph.D. and technical/vocational courses that require them.
For this, the head of higher education institutions receiving funds from the Center should be satisfied that there are labs for Ph.D. students and PG students of Science and Technology courses.
Swimming pools used to train athletes in compliance with the SOP will be allowed for commercial exhibitions (business to business) from October 15. Social / Educational / Sports / Entertainment / Cultural / Religious / Political events, Conferences not exceeding 100 are allowed outside the Contaminated areas. Up to 100 people are allowed to attend wedding ceremonies, funerals, and related events. Collectors / Police Commissioners / SPs / Local Bodies allow the participation of a large number of people, taking into account the size of the ground in vacant lots.
Containment zones will have lockdowns until October 31. Emergency medical services are allowed outside only for essentials. Contacts in the Containment Zones are identified and other necessary medical measures are taken, including surveillance of the home. District officials may identify buffer zones that could spread the coronavirus outside the zone and impose sanctions.
