Prices of sand and maurang will now decrease in Uttar Pradesh

(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Lucknow: Soon the prices of sand will be reduced in the state. After the end of the monsoon season, the mining work has started again in the state. Also, the allocation process of about 200 mining leases of sand maurang is going on in the state. All these mines will reduce their prices after coming to the sand-maurang market. Morang prices are expected to be reduced by around Rs 20 and sand prices by Rs 10 per cubic foot. As such, mining work is closed in July, August, and September every monsoon season. In such a situation, only sand-colored color comes into the market.

Due to the black market, prices touched the sky every year during the rainy season.
But ever since the state government has introduced a new storage policy, its black marketing has been curbed. Now it is necessary to remove the storage in the market during the sand-colored monsoon season. As a result, two years ago, during the monsoon season, prices of morang used to reach Rs 150 cubic feet, while this time the price of morang did not exceed Rs 78 cubic feet. The government had given licenses for 109 sand stocks and 168 buffalo stock licenses. Among them, sand was 13,24,468 cubic meters and maurang was 25,84,186 cubic meters. The price of sand did not increase this time due to the availability of a sufficient quantity of sand in the market and demand was not so high. At the same time, after the end of the monsoon, mining work has started in the mines of the state from October 1. There are a total of 546 mines of sand and maurang in the state.

Baloo-maurang wholesale businessman Vijay Verma says that at the moment the price of maurang is Rs 70 a cubic foot. If the arrival from the mines will increase in a few days, then the price is expected to come to Rs 50 cubic feet. The price of sand is still 30 rupees a cubic foot. Its price is also expected to be Rs 20 to 25 cubic feet.
