(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) Pune; A fresh lockdown was announced in some parts of Pune and Thane districts due to the rising cases of Covid-19. The districts will have a complete 10-day lockdown starts from 13th July, The lockdown in Kalyan-Dombivli and thane was extended by nine days, till 19th July and in Mira-Bhayander by eight days till 18th July.
Deputy CM Ajit Pawar held a meeting in Pune before the lockdown as people didn’t follow social distancing norms and not wearing masks and strict measures needed to break the transmission chain. The cases in Pune has over 18,000.
