Rabindranath Tagore: Mahakavi whose creation was an inspiration

(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): A poet whose writing became the inspiration for the national anthem of 3 countries, that great poet who was a poet of the masses, was rich in versatility. The writer whose social acrimony was hurt. Here we are talking about such a well-known literary writer and the great personality Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore who won the first Nobel Prize for the country.

Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, who said goodbye to the world on August 7, 1941, is such a rare creator in the world whose writings are reflected in the national anthem of 3 countries. Tagore wrote ‘Jana Gana Mana’ in the Bengali language which later became the national anthem of India. Apart from this, the national anthem of Bangladesh ‘Aman Sonar Bangla’ was also taken from his poem. The song ‘Aman Sonar Bangla’ was written in 1905. The third country Sri Lanka, whose national anthem also has his indelible mark.

Tagore wrote the national anthem of India and Bangladesh, it is known to all, but it is not known to most people that a part of the national anthem of Sri Lanka is also inspired by his poetry.
