(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday has warned India to soon touch to two million Covid-19 cases till the second week of August.
India stands at the third rank in the world on the Covid-19 cases. The country has seen touching the million mark in Covid-19 cases in just 137 days and with half of the cases increased during the lockdown period.
India sees the biggest spike on Covid-19 cases on Thursday. 32,695 new cases were registered on a single day. The country tally rose to 10,03,832.
Active cases in the country are 3,42,473 recovered cases are 6,35,757 and the death toll is 25,602.
The tally was growing with a high speed to touch a million marks with growth in the cases each and every day.
The worst affected state in Covid-19 is Maharastra with a total of 2,84,281 cases.
With the growing cases, many states have imposed lockdown like Maharastra, Karnataka, Odisha, and Bihar in the hope to control the spread of Covid-19.
He added “The government must take concrete, planned steps to stop the epidemic.
