(Pooja Dubey,Intern Journalist) The Rajasthan government has made a big announcement for the empowerment and rights of women. The Rajasthan government has decided to give 30 percent of the shops now allocated to women under the public distribution system.
According to a government statement, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has taken this initiative keeping in mind the empowerment of women. Under this, the proposal to allow 30 percent of the shops to be allocated under the public distribution system for women has been approved. In this regard, the Food and Civil Supplies Department sent a proposal to the Chief Minister.
In another decision, the government has approved an additional budget of Rs 11 crore under the Cooperation and Gift Scheme. Chief Minister Gehlot has approved an additional budget provision of Rs 11 crore for the cooperation and gift scheme run by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. In this scheme, there is a provision to provide financial assistance to the needy families who are eligible for the daughter’s marriage.
