Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot Says about Modi Government

(Pooja Dubey, Intern Journalist) Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has taken a big step for the benefit of farmers. Under this, he wrote a letter to PM Narendra Modi and demanded that the farmers’ debt be forgiven. In fact, Gehlot cited an RTI stating that a total loan of Rs 7.95 lakh crore was waived for industrialists in the first term of the Modi government, while nothing happened for the farmers.

CM Ashok Gehlot raised the issue of debt waiver of Rajasthan farmers in a letter sent to PM Modi. He said that on December 18, the BJP organized the Kisan Sammelan in Madhya Pradesh. In this, PM Modi said that farmers in Rajasthan are waiting for a loan waiver, whereas it is not. All farmers’ debt has been waived by cooperative banks under the Rajasthan government. At the same time, the loans of farmers belonging to nationalized and commercial banks under the central government have not been waived.

CM Gehlot said, ‘I would like to remind that the UPA government had waived 72,000 crore rupees loans from farmers across the country from nationalized and commercial banks. He asked the NDA government a question on the waiver of farmers. He said that BJP leaders are provoking the farmers of Rajasthan by spreading confusion. At the same time, they are not communicating positively to the farmers opposing the agricultural laws.

Farmers are angry with the central government
CM Gehlot said that such a situation would not have happened if the Modi government had held talks with farmers’ organizations, agricultural experts and political parties before bringing the agricultural law. Now, there is fierce resentment towards the central government in the minds of farmers if problems are not resolved.
