(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Mumbai: The pair of Bollywood actors Randeep Hooda and Ileana D’cruz will be seen in the upcoming film ‘Unfair and Lovely’. Sony Pictures Films India has announced their next film ‘Unfair and Lovely’ in association with Movie Tunnel Productions. It is a fun comedy film, which shows people’s passion for fair skin in India.
Set in the backdrop of Haryana, the film is the story of a dark girl who is tortured in Indian society due to apartheid.
In this film, Ileana D’cruz will be seen playing Lovely. Ileana said, ‘playing the character of ‘Lovely’ will definitely be very different and a unique experience for me, and people will be able to relate themselves to this character. What I have liked most about this film is its narration which is not at all preachy, but it is a fun story that will leave the audience laughing and smiling. It has been ensured that we will present the subject with great sensitivity, although keeping it as comical as possible. ‘
Randeep Hooda said, ‘I think it is not so easy to make people laugh. The comic style has attracted me for a long time. I am very happy that with this comedy film I will show my comedy style. During the first narration of the film, I liked its story very much and now I am eagerly waiting for it to start.’ Screenwriter Balwinder Singh Janjua of films like ‘Sand Ki Aankh’ and ‘Mubarakan’ is making his directorial debut with the film.
The script of the film has been penned by Balwinder Singh Janjua, Rupinder Chahal, and Anil Rohan, the music is by Amit Trivedi and the songs will be penned by Irshad Kamil.
