(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries LTD, the billionaire of India is offering a sell-off around $20 billion stakes in its retail business to Amazon.com, said by a person with knowledge regarding this matter.
Amazon had a discussion regarding the investment with the conglomerate’s Reliance Retail Ventures LTD. unit and has shown interest in negotiating a transaction. The Reliance Industries is willing to sell a minimum of 40% stake in subsidiary to Amazon, said by the person as it is private information.
If the deal becomes successful it will be the biggest ever deal in India and also for Amazon.
