(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Faridabad: A 25-year-old son of a retired Subedar was beaten to death by his family members with brick and stones at Machhagar village of Ballabhgarh in Faridabad on Friday night. There has been a rivalry between the families of the deceased and the accused for the last 5-6 years. It is alleged that the deceased broke the leg of the father of the accused. The dying young man also came on bail from jail and 2 of the attackers are also out on bail. At present, the Sadar police station has registered a case against 6 people and has done a postmortem of the body and handed it over to the family.
Chanderpal, a resident of village Machchagar, said that he is a retired Subedar from the Indian Army and now works in agriculture. They have three children, one daughter, and two sons. The daughter is married, their elder son Bhushan and younger son Akshay. Both are unmarried. Chanderpal told that on Friday his younger son Akshay did not come home for about 10:20 minutes Friday night, on which he called him when he would come.
Akshay replied that he was coming home now, but when he did not come, he was going towards the village to search for him.
When he reached near the transformer, he saw that his son Akshay was being beaten up badly by brick and mortar, by Arun Pratap son Ajab Singh, Deepak son Soraj, Hempal son Satpal, Vijay Pal son Hukam Singh, and Akash son Vijaypal. When he made noise, his nephew Robin also came there on the spot, but the attacker escaped leaving his son lying on the ground. Akshay was taken to Sarvodaya Hospital in critical condition, where the doctor declared Akshay dead.
