Lucknow: Road Safety Week 2020: The schedule of celebrating Road Safety Week has been fixed in the state. In addition to the Transport Department for the first time, four other five road-related activities related to road safety have also been included in this program, which will run from the next 18 to 24 November. These include Roadways, Police Department, Education, Medical, and PWD. All departments will organize different programs and make people aware of their departments. Detailed information on the program has been sent to all the departments.

Deputy Transport Commissioner Pushpasen Satyarthi said that on the first day it will be started by taking out the awareness chariot. The chariot removal program will be started from the fitness ground at Transportnagar in Lucknow. Through this, awareness material related to road safety will be distributed in the city. On the same day, posters and hoisting banners will be installed at Alambagh bus station of Transport Corporation. All construction agencies will observe black spots on-site and remove their flaws.
The education department will conduct online and offline swearing program through teachers to make them aware of traffic rules. Apart from this, the Medical and Health Department will organize a seminar on the first day. There will be seminars in addition to the Guidelines of Good Samaritan and the awareness program of rescue from Covid-19.

According to Satyarthi, in addition to organizing health camps for drivers, training programs of drivers of the corporation, checking pollution check centers, organizing quizzes, slogans, and contests, training of drivers of school vehicles, corporation buses Fitness check-up, health camps at bus stations, seat belts, driving without helmets, checking campaigns against mobile and drunken driving and making people aware, checking campaigns against overloading and retro retroactive tapes in various categories of vehicles Inspire, painting slogan writing and speech competition will be organized. At the same time, construction agencies will take the opportunity to bridge the culverts and remove their flaws, correct the road deficiencies including the campaign against illegal dhabas along the road.
