(Ritambhara, intern journalist) Kazakhstan: For the first time, astronauts have been sent to the International Space Station (ISS) with a technology that will reach them in just three hours.
Kate Rubins of NASA and Sergei Kud-Severchkov of the Russian space agency Roskosmos flew from the Russia-based Baikonur space launch facility in Kazakhstan for a period of six months as scheduled on Wednesday morning. For the first time, they are trying a two-class, three-hour approach to orbit. Earlier employees used to take double time to reach the station.
