MG Motor India has opened production in Halol Manufacturing Plant in March due to the lockdown, using 30% capacity. The company has also opened around 65 percent of its showrooms and service centers across the country, where work is being done with less manpower. The company sold 1,518 units in March 2020, with 1,402 units being Hector and 116 units being ZS EV.
Rakesh Sidana, sales director, MG Motor India, said, “Sales were affected in May due to supply chain issues, as well as financing difficulties, which also led to the closure of several dealerships due to lockdown.”. Our production front-end retail operations are continuing to operate with less staff than usual after a shortage of production. ”
