(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) The BCCI President Saurav Ganguly’s announced that the Women’s IPL to be held during the Men’s event in the UAE but the foreign stars have called it a shame timing as the event will clash with the Big Bash League in Australia. The Indian team has not played since the T20 final World cup since march. Mithali the only player to play ODI’s, which was last played in November.
The tour of England was canceled, it seems that the women can’t get enough time for a game for the ODI World cup in February- March.
Still the announcement of Ganguly has eased the concerns.
The BCCI has received some criticism for the cancellation of the woman team tour to England at the same time during the IPL preparation that is on full swing.
The men’s IPL to be held between September 19 and November 8 or 10(Final date yet to be decide) in the UAE due to the pandemic situation. The event of four teams women event will also to be fit on the schedule, as per the BCCI chief.
