(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist): A new schedule for the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been released. According to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the first match of the league will be played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) in Abu Dhabi on 19 September. According to Indian time, this match will be played from 7:30 pm.
According to the new schedule, a total of 10 double-headers are to be played in IPL 2020, and on the day two matches are played, the first match will start at 03:30 pm Indian time. The maximum 24 matches of the league stage will be played in Dubai. Apart from this, 20 matches will be played in Abu Dhabi and 12 in Sharjah. However, the grounds have not been selected for play-offs and final matches.
BCCI has also finalized the names of seven commentators for the IPL 2020. It includes Sunil Gavaskar, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan, Murali Karthik, Deep Dasgupta, Anjum Chopra, Rohan Gavaskar, and Harsha Bhogle. All these giants will leave for UAE on 10 September. They are divided into two panels. The first panel will be based in Dubai and Sharjah, while the second panel will be based in Abu Dhabi.
