In this regard, the Union Health Ministry has announced guidelines regarding children’s health in schools. Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Ashwini Kumar Choubey shared the guidelines on his Twitter handle on Sunday. The Ministry of Health has released the Skill Training Institute, the Standard Operating Progressor (SOP) for institutions of higher education.
These institutes offering courses in technical programs to open labs from September 21. It has been told in the guideline that the seating arrangement will also be changed in the classroom. Here students will sit within six feet of each other. Therefore the distance of the chair-table should be 6 feet. Social distancing will have to be taken care of during other important activities in the class.
Teaching faculty will have to keep in mind that students and teachers are wearing masks during schooling. Students will not be allowed to share laptops, notebooks, stationery among themselves. According to the new rule, not all will be immediately returned to the premises. At present, students of class 9 to 12 have been given the option of going to school, although they also have the option to study in offline classes.
Schools will open only to students who do not have access to online education or are facing other problems. Mode of education At present, neither schools nor colleges have been allowed for physical teaching. Both will have to continue their online education right now and follow a hybrid model. In the official notice, the Health Ministry has asked both schools and colleges to revise their academic calendar to avoid overcrowding on the campuses.
Which colleges and schools will open The schools and colleges which are outside the Containment Zone will open according to government rules. Students, teachers, and staff will not be allowed to stay inside the campus. Elderly, pregnant mothers, people with high illnesses who are at high risk will not be called on campus.
