Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist): Schools of classes 9 to 12 will not be opened in view of the ever-increasing corona infection in the state. In fact, the Central Government had given exemption in Unlock-4 from September 21 to call students for guidance from teachers in schools, but due to the increasing corona cases, it has been banned in the state.
Aaradhana Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary, Secondary Education Department said that schools will not start teaching. The department will make a decision regarding calling the children to school only after evaluating the situation.
In the Central Government’s Guide Line, from September 21, students outside the Containment Zone have been allowed to call voluntarily for guidance from teachers, but for this, the written permission of the parents of the students has to be taken. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has been directed to set standards and procedures for this.
So far, more than 3 lakh 54 thousand infected have been found in the state, while six and seven thousand infected are found daily in the state. Officials believe that there are more than 1.5 crore students in the schools of UP Board, CBSE, ICSE in classes 9 to 12 in the state. By giving these students permission to call the school, there will be a risk of infection. So children will not be called right now.
