(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Washington: There are signs of life on the planet Venus. Astronomers studied the planet’s atmosphere and found that micro-organisms may be present in clouds laden with sulfuric acid. Research through to telescopes in Hawaii and Chile found that the Venus clouds contain the chemical called phosphine, an important element associated with life on Earth.
The research was published on Monday in the journal Nature Astronomy. Scientists said that since 1967, many possibilities have been expressed about the Venus clouds and this is important. Imperial College of London astronomer and Co-author David Claimants said that it is like snow clouds.
