The major investors of Tiktok a part of a group that has met recently with the representatives from the Central Intelligence agency in a discussion about data security, reported by the journal.
Trump has demanded action on any sale of TikTok US operation in forcing these deals.
Bytedance has vowed in strict abide by the new export rules in China which could give a complication on the sale of the business as demanded by Trump.
The new regulations can be difficult for bytedance to sell it widely the popular video app, which feature clips of everything starting from dance routines, hair dye-tutorials, and daily life jokes and politics.
