(Pooja Dubey, Intern Journalist) Shocking Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa, the Karnataka High Court dismissed the petition prohibiting criminal proceedings in the case of cancellation of land notification.

The Lokayukta police were reprimanded for not completing the investigation as well as the Lokayukta police were also reprimanded for not completing the investigation even after five years.

On Tuesday, Justice Michael Cunha refused to quash the case against Yeddyurappa and directed the Lokayukta special court to supervise the case.
The case relates to the unlawful cancellation of notification of large tracts of land in the Whitefield IT Corridor. The land was acquired by the BJP-JDS-led government in 2006-07. Yeddyurappa was then the Deputy Chief Minister.

On February 21, 2015, the Lokayukta police registered a case under the Anti-Corruption Act on the directions of the Lokayukta court in the case. Bangalore resident Vasudev Reddy complained about the case.
