Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist): Lucknow: New tactics are being adopted at the airport for smuggling. On Sunday, a flight from Dubai to Lucknow caught a smuggler who was carrying gold screws in the bag. He had put 46 gold screws in the bag, which is worth 9.54 lakh rupees. Custom Deputy Commissioner Niharika Lakha said that the customs officials suspected the presence of a passenger on Sunday from Dubai’s flight number FZ 8325.
He said that he wanted to get out of the passport early but the checking team nabbed him. After checking his luggage with the banner, the gold screw in the bag started showing black in the banner after which it opened. A total of 180.500 grams of gold was seized.
