(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist): In the wake of the Corona epidemic, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports on Friday issued SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for the training of players in swimming pools. According to the SOP, the head coach of the center will ensure that all guidelines are followed properly. According to SOP, a maximum of 20 swimmers can participate in a particular session in an Olympic-sized pool, according to SOP, in a single session. Apart from this, swimmers will have to make a mandatory self-declaration and local trainees will have to give a negative report of Covid-19 before entering the campus.
According to the SOP, a maximum of 20 swimmers can participate in a 50-meter and 10-lane swimming pool, while 16 swimmers can participate in a 25-meter an eight-lane swimming pool. According to the issued SOP, the athlete/coach/facility worker should stay away from each other while coughing and sneezing. The normal temperature should not be higher than what has been set. Sanitizers must be used while wearing gloves and a face masks. Also, fitness equipment should be used.
