Stagnant Prices of Petrol & Diesel, Relief to a Common Man

(Geetesh Ujjainwal, Intern Journalist) New Delhi: Continued hiked prices of petrol and diesel are now stagnant. On Tuesday, in Delhi, Government oil marketing company, IOC (Indian oil corporation limited) has announced that their will no changes in the price of petrol and diesel.
Before this on Monday, the price of petrol was hiked by 5 paise per litre and the price of diesel was hiked by 13 paise per litre. On Tuesday, in the national capital, the price for one-litre petrol is Rs 80.43 is fixed and the price for one litre of diesel is 80.53.

Union Petroleum Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan said that the economy of the world and the country is currently undergoing a challenge. The world oil and gas industry is also going through a peculiar crisis of demand and supply due to Corona global epidemic. Due to lockdown, the demand for petrol and diesel was dropped by 70% in April and May.

But after the removal of lockdown, the demand for petrol is slowly coming back. The common consumers were not affected by the recently increased prices of petrol and diesel. He also said that whenever the prices of crude oil will become stable at the international level then automatically the petroleum company will also stable their prices.
