(Satya Havilah, Intern Journalist) New Delhi: The number of new corona (UK strain) cases in India has risen to 109, the Union Ministry of Family and Health said on Thursday. The government has been on high alert since the discovery in Britain of a new strain (UK strain) that spreads faster than the common Coronavirus.

In the wake of this, flights from the UK were banned from December 22 last year. Although flights from the UK were later allowed, passengers from the UK were required to undergo an RTPCR test. Even after arriving in India, passengers are tested at airports and sent out only after the results were negative.
