(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) Karnataka; The Tahasildar of Bangarpet taluk in Kolar district was stabbed to death by a retired headmaster while a survey on land on 9th July.
The police said the incident took place when tehsildar Chandraulishwara (54) went to Toppanahalli village in Bangarpet Taluk in Kolar survey on a piece of land. It was said there was a dispute held between surveyors Rama Murthy with the retired headmaster Venkatachalapathi for the land.
The argument between the two led to the extreme point and Chandramaulishwara tried to interfere, during that time Venkatachalapathi loosed his temper and stabbed the tahsildar to death.
Karnataka CM BS Yeddyurappa condemned the incident and offered an ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh to the family with a government job to a family member.
