(Milcah Anila, Intern Journalist) Kuppam / Santhipuram: YSSR CP leaders are gearing up for agitation, protesting that local MLA is obstructing 25,000 houses to be distributed by the government in the Kuppam constituency.
The TTD ranks have come up with a new tactic that will get their party minus if it gets support from the people. The Handrail-Neva canal was sketched out to politicize the work. Focusing on this, police officials imposed Section 144 in the constituency a few days ago. Rallies and agitation programs were banned. However, in violation of this, the Telugu brothers went on strike and finally became abusive.
On Thursday, some TDP leaders and activists marched with their party flags in the Handrail-Neva canal between Santoor and Gundishettipalle. When Kuppam Rural CI Yatindra, Rallabuduguru SI Muralimohan, and the Police came to know about this, they all disappeared! Meanwhile, the Police went there after receiving information that TDP leaders were also protesting between Chinnaridoddi and Jalilaganipalle.
Same to Same again TDP leaders fell head over heels looking at the police. On learning of the TDP affair, Mandal YSSAR CP convener Kodandareddy, co-convener Bullet Dandapani, Vaddera Corporation state director Peddanna, leaders Vijayakumar, Krishnamurthy, and Murugesh activists reached Santoor. TDP leaders, who have been working on the canal for as long as they have been in power, are now angry that it is too far-fetched to protest.
Injuries with escape
Two TDP activists from Nadimpalle were slightly injured when they fell into a ditch while abusing YSSR CP leaders who were on their way to Jalliganipalle. This was also attempted by the political color yellow. It is learned that they were admitted to the hospital claiming that Palpa had been attacked by the ruling party.
Deployment of police
Police were deployed along the Handrail-Neva canal in the wake of the dramatic moves by the Telugus. The CI and Essay warned that the consequences would be severe if the TDP leaders came this way and action would be taken against those who violated Section 144. Both sides called for restraint.
