Teacher’s day celebrated in Mankameshwar Math Temple

(Priyanka Gupta, Intern Journalist)Lucknow: Teachers’ Day was celebrated on Saturday in the prestigious Mankameshwar Math temple complex in Daliganj, Lucknow. In it, according to tradition, the idol of Lord Venerable Dr. Sarve Palli Radhakrishnan was worshiped by the rituals. Mahant Devyagiri of the monastery said that for salvation, one has to make a guru. Mahant Devyagiri did the Idol-Gurudev worship in the monastery. These bhajans were also sung by them:

-मिलते नहीं है भगवान, गुरू के बिना, चाहे हो आओ चारो धाम

-पोथी पढ़ पढ़ जग मुआ, पंडित भया न कोय, ढाई आखर प्रेम का पढ़े सो पंडित होय

Also motivated for the importance of education. On this occasion, Mahant Devyagiri prayed for the Sanskrit education of the society by worshiping the seated gurus in the temple. Mahant Devyagiri said that the promotion and preservation of language are necessary.

On this occasion, Naina Giri, Kalyani Giri, Gauraja Giri, Rupa Ritu, Manju, Komal, Kiran Kapoor, Shalani, Sunita Malati, Kamlesh Renu, Khushi, on Saturday, praised the Guru with hymns, prepared an offering, and offered worship with Mahant all together to the idol of Meerabai.
