(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Kabul, Afganistan: On Sunday, militants attack Jalalabad jail in Nangarhar province, east of Afganistan. They attacked the prison entrance with a suicide blast. It killed 29 people and 43 people were injured. The IS claimed responsibility for the attack. Officials said that the attack by militants of the militant group that began on Sunday continued on Monday as well.
It is being told that hundreds of IS fighters are in this jail. Atahullah Khogyani, a spokesman for the governor of Nangarhar province, said three attackers were killed. This struggle continues on Monday. There is intermittent firing in the jail premises. Deaths include normal citizens, prison guards, and Afghan security personnel, in addition to some prison intimates.
