The Bhiwandi Municipal Corporation had twice before served the inhabitants of the structure a notification to empty the property as it was in a risky condition.
The Gilani building, arranged at the Patel compound of Narpoli close Dhamankar Naka, crumbled at around 3.40 am, while the inhabitants were snoozing. Around 25 families were remaining in the property at the hour of the occurrence.
A group of NDRF workforce is on the spot and salvage tasks are in progress. A youngster was likewise pulled from the garbage and was hurried to a close-by emergency clinic.
