Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist): The Bar Council of India has decided to postpone the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) in the wake of the COVID-19 epidemic. The said decision was taken in the resolution passed on 29 July. The new date of examination and schedule will be considered and decided by the monitoring committee of AIBE, headed by a former judge of the Supreme Court of India.
Earlier this exam was being conducted by AIBE on 16.08.2020. However, given the “current epidemic situation and frequent lockdowns, an increasing number of corona patients”, the BCI has resolved to postpone the examination date.
The date for receiving the application has also been postponed till 31.08.2020.
