He was considered as the successful captain of the Indian team as the achievement is unmatched. He led India to the 2013 ICC champions’ trophy title along with the ICC T20 World Cup (2007) and the ICC ODI World Cup (2011).
He led Indian team to be the World N0 1 Test team for the first time in 2009.
He has won the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna (2007), Padma Shri (2009), and Padma Bhusan (2018) for his hard work and dedication towards the sport. He was the Captain of the Indian team from 2007-2016 and in the test match from 2008-2014.
So far he has played 350 ODI’s and 98 T20Is, has scored 10,773 and 1617 runs. In 90 tests he scored 4876 runs, with 633 fifties. In the ODI he has scored 10 centuries and 73 fifties. Playing as a wicketkeeper, Dhoni has 634 catches and with a world record of 123 stumpings.
He has last played in the 2019 World cup semifinal against New Zealand.
