The total cases of coronavirus have exceeded 9.5 million. The total number of cases of cover-19 in the country has increased to 9,68,876. So far 24915 lives have been lost due to this epidemic. However, the matter of relief is that the average of those who recover is also the best. The recovery rate has increased to 63.25%. So far 6,12,814 patients have fully recovered from this epidemic.

99 doctors died so far from COVID-19
Indian Medical Association (IMA) said that 99 doctors have died in the country due to COVID-19. According to the IMA’s National COVID Registry data, a total of 1302 doctors have been infected with COVID-19. 99 doctors have died in this. Among the dead, 73 doctors were over 50 years old, 19 were aged between 35-40 and seven doctors were below 35 years of age.

“While the Medical Profession remains the beacon of hope for the nation to lead the exit from the pandemic, COVID death among doctors has become a matter of great concern. IMA strongly advocates the leadership of doctors in adopting all scientific best practices,” Dr. Rajan Sharma, National President, IMA. “Wide dissemination of such knowledge is happening through an avalanche of webinars helping doctors to face the challenge. Since the administrative gaps are being addressed, clinics and Nursing Homes have opened, hospitals are functioning to capacity. Doctors need to take charge of the situation and ensure the safety of themselves, their families, their colleagues, and staff,” added Sharma.
