(Deepshikha Gautam: Intern Journalist) Ministry of Sports has announced the removal of the upper limit of salary for two lakhs on the training of elite athletes by Indian coaches on Saturday. This decision has been taken so that they should be encouraged to produce better results and encourage former players to become high-performance coaches. The sports ministry had decided to extend the contract of all foreign coaches on Friday to the next 30 years, after that this decision is taken. With this, it was decided to choose Indian and foreign coaches for four years, keeping pace with the Olympics.
Sports Minister, Kiren Rijiju, told, “Many coaches are giving results. They need to award. We do not want to limit the salary of coaches to train elite athletes. The new coach and the existing coach who has been awarded the new contract will provide training at the camp and the national center of excellence in SAAI
