(Milcah Anila, Intern Journalist)New Delhi: Every day something new about the coronavirus comes to light. However, the latest study says another new thing. Second virus infection has been shown to have a greater effect. A recent study has revealed that the argument that it has a little effect is not strong. Despite the antibodies, the second time the virus was found to be more severe in some than the first time.

The study was conducted by researchers at the International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology in Mumbai and the CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology in Delhi. Experts from Kasturba Hospital for Infectious Disease and PD Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai, along with the two scientific institutions, also participated in the study.

Short features… Four young healthcare workers were examined as part of the study. They were first infected with the coronavirus with mild symptoms. A few weeks after recovering, he contracted the disease again. A second time he was hospitalized with severe symptoms and had to be treated. One in four also had to undergo plasma therapy. Another was unable to attend duties for three weeks.

Extremely rare… Evidence of coronavirus re-infection is extremely rare, said CSIR-IGIB scientist Dr. Anurag Agarwal. The study revealed that people and doctors should be extremely careful even after recovering from the disease. There is no guarantee of immunity. He also said that protection from the virus is short-lived.
Once again, their study revealed that the disease is more likely to be severe.
