(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) New Delhi: Although many changes have been made in the new education policy, by providing credit transfer options in higher education, the students will get the convenience of reading whenever they want and whatever they want. This is expected to end the drop out in higher education. And the gross penetration rate will increase. According to the new education system, if a person enters a degree course and wants to leave after 1 semester or 2 semesters, then he will get two benefits.

One, as many as he has studied, he will get his certificate and diploma. Second, the credits acquired by him can be further transferred. For example, if a student has done a 1 year of B.Tech and completed 2 semesters, but after that, he/she wants to do B.Com, then he/she will be able to get admission in the second year directly. He may have to do something like an online bridge course. But he/she will not have to do B.Com anew. His/her one year credit will be adjusted in the second year course. AICT chairman Anil D. Sahastrabudhe said that students currently have no such option. If they skip their study in between, then all their credits are worthless and even years. But this will not happen next.
