Saloni Subha ( Intern Journalist ) The Badminton World Federation’s plan to kick-start the international calendar next month as it was forced to postpone the Thomas and Uber Cup. “BWF in agreement with local Host Badminton Denmark has made though the decision to postpone the finals. The decision was made after the withdrawal of a number of participating teams”, BWF informed in a statement on Tuesday.
The world body, however, didn’t announce the new dates for the tournament. BWF is looking for possible alternative dates to reschedule the world’s men and women’s team championships. The season was suspended after the All England Championships on March 15 and was expected to resume with the TUS. However, with several countries pulling out of the event, concerned with the safety of their players, BWF had no option but to revoke the event.
