(Namita Pradhan, Intern Journalist) Skoda Auto has announced the appointing of the new Chairman of the board Thomas Schafer on 3rd August 2020. Schafer took the responsibility to head the board of the Czech carmaker from Bernhard Maier, who was handling the leadership position from the last five years.
He was previously serving as the chairman of Volkswagen Group South Africa since 2015 and he was also responsible for its development of the brand group in the region of Sub Saharan Africa.
