(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Lucknow: During the tenure of Akhilesh Yadav’s government, very fast action is being taken on the instructions of very strict CM Yogi Adityanath regarding recruitment scams. A case was filed in Lucknow last Thursday regarding a recruitment scam in Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Department. In this sequence, three top officials have been suspended on Monday.
Action is now being taken against the officers after a case was registered in connection with irregularities during recruitment to the post of Assistant Manager during the tenure of Akhilesh Yadav government in Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Bank in Cooperative Department. Three more officers have been suspended on Monday in the Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Bank recruitment scam. Those suspended include Deputy General Manager Dilip Kumar Prasad, Deputy General Manager Shailesh Yadav, and Assistant General Manager Siddharth Srivastava. Earlier, an FIR was registered against seven named accused in the much talked about Cooperative Department recruitment scam. The special research team (SIT) has taken this action after CM Yogi Adityanath was allowed to register a case against the guilty officers. The SIT submitted its investigation report to the government in the past and recommended the filing of cases against the guilty officers.
In the investigation of the SIT, the then Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Bank Hiralal Yadav and Ravikant Singh, the then recruitment of Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Institutional Service Board, Ramjatan Yadav, Secretary Rakesh Kumar Mishra, and Member Santosh Kumar Srivastava along with the related recruitment agency, Axis Digit Technologies
Ram Pravesh Yadav, a private limited employee, was found guilty. All these FIRs have now been registered. Apart from this, reports have also been filed against Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Bank Limited and other officers and personnel of the Managing Committee of Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Institutional Service Board in other sections including fraud and conspiracy.
There are serious allegations of corruption in the recruitment of Assistant Manager (General) and Assistant Manager (Computer) of Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Bank in the year 2015-16 and 2016-17 for the posts of Manager and Assistant and Cashier.
During the SP regime, between the years 2012 to 2017, 49 advertisements for recruitment were issued in UP Cooperative Land Development Bank, Uttar Pradesh State Warehousing Corporation, and Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Bank Limited, out of which 40 recruitment process was completed. 2343 posts of manager, deputy general manager, assistant manager, assistant branch numerical, assistant field officer, assistant manager (computer), senior branch manager, and clerk were recruited.
The BJP government had handed over the investigation of the entire case to the SIT on complaints of rigging in recruitment to different posts. These included all the recruitments made through the Co-operative Institutional Services Board in the Cooperative Department from April 1, 2012, to March 31, 2017, as well as scrutiny of appointments made to the posts of Assistant Manager of Cooperative Bank. The SIT, after scrutinizing the recruitments made on the posts of assistant manager, submitted its report to the government in the past. The government has now given permission to register an FIR against seven accused, including officers and employees of the then managing committee of Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Bank Limited and UP Cooperative Institutional Services Division, Lucknow, after which a case was registered.
