Saloni Subha ( Intern Journalist ) Three RJD MLA including former minister Chandrika Prasad Rai, the estranged father-in-law of Tej Pratap Yadav, joined the ruling JD(U) on Thursday. The entry of Rai was widely speculated after the marriage of her daughter with Lalu Prasad’s son ended on a bitter note.
Rai, an MLA from parsa, soon after joining the party he attacked Tej Pratap Yadav. “He worked against me during the Lok Sabha polls, but the party did nothing against him”, he said. He also hinted that his daughter could also contest.
The second MLA who joined the party was Faraz Fatmi, MLA from Keoti ( Darbhanga ). He is the son of former union minister Mohammad Ali Ashraf Fatmi, who quoted RJD during 2019 Lok Sabha polls after being denied tickets and joined JD(U).
The most surprising was of the third MLA Jai Vardhan Yadav. He is the grandson of former Congress leader Ram Lakhan Singh Yadav, who wielded clout among Yadav’s before the emergence of the Lalu Prasad in 1990.
