(Rishitha Jaladi, Intern Journalist)Vijayawada: Married soon after completed college, Mamta Verma lives in a small town in Madhya Pradesh. One day Mamta’s daughter got har installed TikTok on her phone. And then when she began to watch videos for fun and later stated shooting videos of her own.
I started shooting TikTok videos, and my first video has got five likes, which has given me a boost to do more. Later I continued to upload more videos and started earning, said Mamta. Now Mamta has more than a million followers on TikTok. She shoots the video in her small house and earns about, 4,000 rupees per video, with her slick robot dance. She runs the house with this money. U know even Rs 10 is a big amount for us, added Mamta.
But now, Since the government of India had banned the use of TikTok along with 59 other Chinese apps, for security and privacy of citizens. It has affected the livelihood of many. TikTok is also banned in the United States and Australia.
